A new launderette, Maryport Laundry Services in Maryport, Cumbria is performing well up to its owner’s expectations after just two months trading. Heating engineer Wayne Holt was quick to recognise the potential when he saw the ex-Co-op store with no other launderette within a ten mile radius.

The store is equipped with 7kg and 10kg Primus washer-extractors and 30lb Loadstar tumble dryers, plus a 16kg Primus and 50lb Loadstar for service washes. ‘I chose the Armstrong equipment not just because it was competitive’ said Mr Holt, ‘but also because I could see that the Armstrong people really know the business.’

The launderette is experiencing steady growth from the local residents and the bigger equipment is already being kept busy with duvets and contract work from campsites and rugby clubs.

Armstrong is celebrating 125 years in the industry and is a distributor for Primus.
