| Prior Park re-equip
with Armstrong for reliability When repairs to the laundry became too frequent, the Bursar’s department at Prior Park College, Bath, turned to Alpha Laundry Systems for advice because Alpha had supported the old equipment so well for so long. The new equipment selected included two microprocessor controlled 16 kg Primus washer-extractors with automatic dosing and two Huebsch 50 lb tumble dryers all supplied by Armstrong Commercial Laundry Systems. The College has approximately 120 boarding students, both boys and girls aged 13-18 and the laundry copes with personal clothing, towels, bed linen and games kit. Bursar’s Assistant Ruth Beresford says ‘As every mother knows, the volume of laundry generated by teenagers is enormous. All our boarders have at least two games sessions each week and there are often ten teams representing the college at weekends. It frequently needs two operators in the laundry working flat out to deliver the fast turn around demanded.’ The Armstrong equipment was selected largely on the basis of reliability. Alpha’s Peter Henley says ‘I know this is rugged, reliable equipment and, just as important, I know from years of experience that Armstrong have a really fast, efficient spares service and they never let me down.’
