Bright Wash launderette in Leeds is re-equipped with new commercial laundry equipment

Man at Brightwash launderette by machines

Shaid Aziz has owned launderettes in the North of England for 30 years, at one time having four, but now has only two.  One of them, Bright Wash, in the Meanwood suburb of Leeds is a fully attended, full service launderette and dry cleaners open every day from 9.00am to 6.30pm.

Mr Aziz has had Speed Queen tumble dryers from Armstrong Commercial Laundry Systems before,  and he had no hesitation in buying these again.  When he needed to re-equip Bright Wash last December he found that the washers he had previously from a different supplier were no longer available so he opted for the new Primus RX washers from Armstrong, choosing four of the 8kg and three of the 14kg models.  He also bought five of the Speed Queen stacked dryers – giving a total of 10 x 15kg drying capacity.

According to Mr Aziz many of his customers are middle aged people, some single and some with families, who either don’t have laundry equipment in their homes, or don’t want wet washing hanging around the house, plus lots of people who do have domestic machines bring in large items such as quilts and duvets.  The launderette also gets business from local schools and sports clubs who want their kit washed.

“As before I am delighted with the dryers,” Mr Aziz explained, “they are really efficient and reliable and the customers find them very easy to use.  We had very minor teething problems with the washers, mainly because they are much more hi-tech than the old ones and take a bit of getting used to.  But Armstrong people have worked well with us and these are all now resolved and everything is working extremely well.”

What our clients say...

  • “Our machines have come from several suppliers – there is a big difference in the standards of support we receive and Armstrong gets 10 out of 10 – their service has been consistently excellent over several years and when you’re as busy as we are, that’s very important.”

    Jacqui Butler

  • “It’s important to get the right equipment for the job, too small and it won’t do it properly, too big and you are wasting money, energy and space. It is also important to deal with a company you trust to supply reliable equipment and give you the support you need. As expected, the installation went smoothly, we have never had the slightest problem and I know Armstrong will deal with it if we do.”
